      Living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, my father is also from El Bireh, Lebanon. I and my siblings were all born in Calgary, but we go back to Lebanon often, and we love to say hi our relatives around world.

      I have visited Adnan (see above) and his family when he lived in Rancho Santa Fe, California and stay in contact with his brother Nazeah (he told me about this website). I also had the pleasure of meeting Adnan's uncle Nazim (my grandfather's first cousin) when he came to visit in California; he was a great man.

      I last saw our family tree back in El Bireh in 1980 and you are right, it is in some dire need of updating and will require A LOT of paper.

      Hi to all my family around the world; I hope to be checking this site often and spreading the word about it as well.

      I think it is a great thing you have done here Abdul. Our family is huge and this will be an ongoing, monumental task. Thank you for this site.

I have seen the El bireh family tree and have questioned why women are not on it (I've thought of adding them on myself one day, as my father has a great memory and is very aware of his lineage). They say it's because the women do not carry the family name. Well, the women still have Kadri blood, and the only way to have a complete family tree is to include the women. I'm glad you have not overlooked that.

My father was Ahmad Kadri, my brothers are Abdulhay and Abdulmajeed. I am married a man from south Lebanon and have 2 grown boys whom I have tried to let know about our large family. Many of the elBire folks know me as Jamili and not Jamal. Salam to all my extended family and I thrilled that my 2nd cousin connected with this website.

I would add that we have many (many) cousins in Brazil who will be interested in this site. So, if anyone knows Portuguese, write a few lines for them. The main problem is when someone writes their name, I get confused because there are so many of us with the same name, espcially Mohammed, Ahmed, Hussien, and it seems, AbdulKader. Good luck on identifying yourself.
